A 1-day Ofqual regulated qualification for emergency first aiders in lower-risk workplaces.
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to provide appropriate first aid cover for their workplace. The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a one-day qualification designed for individuals who need to act as an emergency first aider in lower-risk environments.
It provides the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. As a fully Ofqual-regulated qualification, this course gives employers peace of mind that their legal responsibilities are met — without lengthy verification processes.
On successful completion you will receive an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Award certificate valid for 3 years. Your certificate can be verified online using Qualsafe's verification tool. To maintain your skills between renewals, we recommend completing an annual refresher course.
The EFAW qualification aligns with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) syllabus and can be used towards higher-level first aid qualifications. Completing this course in Year 1 or 2 of a 3-year cycle supports the HSE's recommended sequence of training for first aiders.
