A half-day Ofqual regulated qualification combining life support, defibrillator, and anaphylaxis management skills.
Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that requires immediate treatment. The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Adult BLS, AED and Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF) combines critical resuscitation skills with the knowledge and practical competence to recognise and treat a casualty experiencing anaphylaxis.
Based on guidance from the Resuscitation Council (UK), this qualification is ideal for anyone with a specific responsibility at work, or in community and voluntary activities, where they may need to respond to a cardiac or anaphylactic emergency.
On successful completion you will receive an Ofqual-regulated Level 3 Award certificate. Annual renewal is recommended to maintain competency. This qualification can complement your existing first aid qualifications and is particularly valuable in settings where anaphylaxis risk is a concern.
This qualification can be taken alongside or following a broader first aid qualification. It is recommended as an annual refresher for holders of First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates, and for those working in environments with known allergy risks.
